Here are a few concept phones for the future… these are not created yet, but are inspirations to what we’ll see in the future.

At Occipital, we’ve been working really hard on a better camera application for the iPhone, called ClearCam, and we finally launched it on BigBoss/Cydia!
ClearCam takes 6 photos in 2.5 seconds, fuses them together using an algorithm called super resolution, and creates a sharper, 4 megapixel photo with less noise. There is also a QuickShot mode that takes 4 photos in under 2 seconds and saves the sharpest to the camera roll.
Here is a comparison photo of using ClearCam and NOT using ClearCam:

We spent a lot of time optimizing our code to make it run fast enough on the iPhone. A lot of our effort went into being able to align photos precisely with sub-pixel accuracy (required for super resolution), and to also do it fast.
You can check out more information at our site. There’s also a pretty good post about it here.
If you’ve been hoping for better photos from your iPhone, give ClearCam a try. If you really like it, feel free to buy it and support some hungry programmers =).
From MacRumors:
Bloomberg reports that Adobe’s Chief Executive Officer Shantanu Narayen has revealed that Adobe is working with Apple on bringing Flash support to the iPhone:
Its a hard technical challenge, and thats part of the reason Apple and Adobe are collaborating, Narayen said today in a Bloomberg Television interview from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The ball is in our court. The onus is on us to deliver.
Flash is a very popular web plug-in that is used to deliver animation and video content on the web. Apple’s iPhone has notably not supported Flash since its launch.
In March, Steve Jobs even said that the the current version of Flash performed too slowly on the iPhone. It’s not clear what might have caused the change of heart, though Adobe announced in November that they were partnering with ARM to create an optimized implementation of Flash specifically for the ARM11 family of processors. Apple’s iPhone is based on these processors, so it may be seeing the benefit of this collaboration.

The iPhone Dev-Team has released an unsupported version of the upcoming 2G iPod touch jailbreak, dubbed “redsn0w.” Available at redsn0w.com, the jailbreak is Mac-only and does not include a GUI. Because the process is “tethered” and involves using the command-line, the Dev-Team cautions that only experienced users attempt the jailbreak. Furthermore, they will not be providing any support on their blog.
If you’re willing to attempt the jailbreak be sure to read the instructions first. If it seems too difficult, we advise waiting for a supported release.
I suggest to wait. I think we will have a safe way of jailbreaking iPod Touch 2G soon
or, at least, a guide.
From CNET:
One of the iPhone’s stupid limitations is its inability to sync with host computers and transfer files back and forth via bluetooth. An enterprising developer; however, has written an application that allows not only computer-to-iPhone file transfers via Bluetooth, but also iPhone-to-other mobile device file transfers. Its about time!
The Bluetooth file transfer application will only be available through the Cydia distribution framework for Jailbroken iPhones only.
A video of the transfer tool shows files being moved from a Mac to the iPhone, and subsequently from the iPhone to a Sony Ericsson phone (see video below):
The tool appears to be based on the work of the BlueSn0w project, which theoretically allows developers to write/implement fully functional Bluetooth stacks that run on your iPhone, thus opening the door for not only file transfers, but also use of Bluetooth keyboards/mice, syncing with host computers and other mobile devices, and more robust support for pairing with third-party Bluetooth devices. Pretty cool.
Ok so I’ve already expressed the point that I love iPhones and everything about them. In this post I’m going to talk about a new feature that 3rd party developers are working diligently to create. Its the ‘COPY and PASTE‘ feature. Stupidly, Apple decided that they wouldn’t put this feature on their product and quite frankly, I think its one of the biggest mistakes ever. Blackberry is the world leader, and if iPhone wants to compete, they have to have AT LEAST all the same features that the latest Blackberrys have before going above and beyond.
Facts:
Anyways, I’m getting off topic here… This is a new example of what 3rd party developers have come up with. The first one is called Clipboard and the second is called Clippy. Take a look at these pictures (of Clippy) and tell me what you think!

Curve? Paaleease.
Just got word today that President Obama subscribes to a Blackberry. His PIN is: 2E334N5.
Just kidding… but I did get you all hot and sweaty, right?
