Street Fighter IV hits shelves today

Posted by Coleman.B on February 17, 2009 under Technology | Be the First to Comment

Street Fighter on Xbox360

For many, the Street Fighter name is synonymous with with fighting genre, and today, fans of that genre rejoice! Street Fighter IV is the long awaited Capcom production that was announced back in October 07′, and people have been clamouring for it ever since. Many fans wondered if the new title would provide the high energy precision that seems to run with the SF name, and were also attentive to the fact that the developers really wanted to get the game’s build right.

Photobucket

At first glance the new art direction is very detailed and everything is rendered in 3D.

Oh but don’t worry, the fighting remains on its conventional 2D plane, true to the SF titles of the past. Character art is stylized to give a hand drawn feel, and on screen visuals compliment this style by showing brush strokes, and ink  splatters during the action. The art style draws from a bright, and varying color pallet, which  really helps to bring the 3D backgrounds to life.

Combat is also faithful to the genre, as well as bringing in it’s own new flavors and a few other neat tricks. Super combos feature a breakaway camera, that pans to various cinematic action angles, during the combo for a better view of the action. Ultra combos are a new addition to the series, and are based off a “revenge gauge” that requires you to get hit by your opponent in order for the gauge to fill up. This is also known as the Ultra gauge. The camera will also break away during an Ultra Combo so that players will get a better view of the devastation that is being laid out. The last new addition to the combat side of things are the new Focus Attacks. Focus Attacks feature a multi-phase “absorb and counter” system that will most likely create a more “back and forth” style of fighting, that will be a near parallel to boxing.

Overall, the new entrant in the Street Fighter series is living up to it’s proud name already, by showing it is as innovative and fun to play as its predecessors.

Donating Umbilical Cord Blood

Posted by asdf on under Politics | Read the First Comment

Here’s a controversial topic. People are donating umbilical cord blood these days and its all for the hopes it will save their baby’s lives in the future.

Since the change of presidencies, there is a new smell on the scene regarding STEM CELL RESEARCH. Obama brings a new hope to stem cell researchers and hopefully this is the wave of all future cures to chronic ailments.

Stem cells are most prevalently contained in a new born’s umbilical cord blood and if captured right away, this can be frozen and kept for as long as the child lives.

Marrow.org explains more on how to donate or capture your baby’s umbilical cord blood.  As well, the links below will give you some of the facts and information regarding this hot topic —>

GPT Programs – Do they work? – CashCrate.com Does!

Posted by asdf on under Business | Be the First to Comment

Hey all,

GPT programs, or Get Paid To programs, are becoming highly popular for the average techy who wants to earn money by sitting around on their couch all day. I used to believe that all of these were scams and that there was no way you could earn money by doing surveys and questionnaires all day, but the truth of the matter is that it does actually work. You may not earn thousands of dollars right off the bat, but if you start now, I can guarantee you that you’ll make $10 the first day, $20 the second, $40 the third, and before you know it, you will be making a lot more.   The only thing you have to invest is your time.  Although valuable, you might have some extra of it sitting around…

Here’s the trick though… not only do you have to complete survey after survey (which is quite time consuming), but you have to develop a network of people doing this. Companies like CashCrate.com pay you anywhere between $3 to $10 for each person who signs up and completes 2 surveys.  As long as you yourself completes 2, and you get your friends to do the same, you’re making some serious dough.  I’ve already started doing this and its definitely easy.

If you like this idea and want to give it a try, please support me and use my referral link.  It doesn’t take anything away from your earnings and I would really appreciate the support.  Thanks.
